What is Sucralose?
Sucralose is a sweetener in the category ‘non-nutritive’. It is noncaloric as the majority of ingested sucralose is not broken down by the body. Sucralose is about twice as sweet as saccharin, three times as sweet as aspartame and 600 times sweeter than sucrose. Sucralose is stable under heat and over a broad range of pH conditions. Its use is therefore effective in baking products or products that require a longer shelf life.
