Stevia is a sweetener, used as a substitute for sugar. It is subtracted from the leaves of a plant called Stevia Rebaudania. Stevia can be used in powder or liquid form. The active compounds of Stevia, a variety of steviol glycosides , are 250 – 300 times sweeter than sugar, making Stevia a successful substitute for sugar.
